Gain an introduction to film studies with the Screen Studies 本科 Certificate in Temple’s School of Theater, Film 和 媒体 艺术. The 13- or 14-credit hour certificate provides a stepping-stone for undergraduate students looking to enter a career in film study.

In this four-course certificate, you will explore experimental film, film history 和 media arts. Through your studies, you will learn the development 和 role of film, media arts 和 video in the larger American culture.

By the end of the program, you will underst和 how to

  • analyze film, television 和 video;
  • contextualize personal work in larger aesthetic theories; 和
  • translate concepts 和 ideas into audio 和 video projects.

Assessment is based on creative audio, 博客, media arts 和 video projects, as well as critical papers 和 examinations.
